don’t let that trafﬁc light hit the red light because then things that happen can have extreme consequences. The best thing I learnt and I will never forget is that we don’t have control of anything, its simply an illusion we just think we do.
Trying to put ourselves in control of something through rage that we never had control of in the ﬁrst place is a losing battle. just keep everything in the frontal lobes.
The serenity prayer is something I will always use if I remember it. maybe a tattoo of that will help, its really powerful. not reacting instantly is something else. rage is based on impulse and can go 0 to 100 real quick, but if you sleep on it or let it be for that moment and come back to it you will be much calmer and level headed to think things through properly.
rage distorts our thoughts and our feelings through toxic emotions. My biggest issue with my illness has been lashing out, which I made progress with through out my 6 years of therapy, however when you provoked so much you just don’t care for the consequences anymore. thats where you need to check in with yourself, is what your about to do really worth the long term affects this will create on you, your life and perhaps people around you.
I learnt more through this than I ever expected to and I did this because of a threat I made to my partner which got me charged. her instability with her own emotions as well as her ex and custody battle ﬁnally broke me, if I had these tools I would of been aware of my frontal lobes much sooner.”.
